Manchester City Council “We’ve been working with Unity Radio since 2011 on various Manchester City Council campaigns. These have included Any Plans Tonight – teenage pregnancy campaign where Unity have helped us to raise awareness and uptake of the sexual health services that are available to young people in the Manchester area. Working with their presenters to come up with tongue-in-cheek messages that encouraged young people to plan ahead by using a reliable form of contraception. Complimenting this with running our radio creative and promoting our APT messages via their digital channels, alongside the wider mix of channels, including outdoor, we were able to increase hits to the Any Plans Tonight website from 275,100 in 2012 / 13 to 511,237 in 2014 / 15. Other campaigns that we’ve worked with Unity Radio on are our Register to Vote and foster care campaigns where we have seen an increase in the number of young people registering to vote online, as well as a noticeable increase of younger people enquiring about fostering than we have in previous years.
