In January 2022, Unity Radio is revolutionising its most listened to show, The Breakfast Show. Broadcasting across Greater Manchester on 92.8FM, DAB and online Monday to Thursday from 7am til 10am. We aim to bring fresh content, exciting guests and brand-new aesthetics. A perfect opportunity for Unity Radio, Jasper, artists and brands alike to be a part of an intriguing new project. We are actively looking for brands to partner up with, as well as upcoming and/or already established artists and other industry professionals to join us on the airwaves.
Unity Radio’s Breakfast Show with Jasper Hopkins is the most popular show the station broadcasts as it assists Mancunians in their daily commute. A breakfast show presenter, in general, carries the complex responsibility of being one of the first voices many hear over the course of their day. With this in mind, one of the foremost aspects of Jasper’s show is to infuse his broadcast with contagious good vibes and his ever-present energy, with the hope of making the commute to work that much easier for Mancunian’s. Whatever negativity someone might wake up with, Jasper aims to wash it away with his Breakfast Show
Jasper primarily plays the best hip hop, R&B, afrobeats, house & garage from around the city and beyond. However, he always aims to keep his listeners on their toes by mixing up the sounds he plays on the show day by day. Jasper is no stranger to introducing listeners to upcoming underground artists and genres, staying true to the integral roots of Unity Radio and all it represents.
Jasper intends to bring some new segments of content to his daily show, one of these segments being: “Don’t Hit That Snooze”, a portion of the show where Jasper will promote upcoming artists and their new songs which Jasper believes shouldn’t be slept on. A fantastic opportunity for these artists and record labels to submit their artists/songs in the hopes that Jasper will select them to be played over the airwaves to thousands of Mancunians on their daily commute. Another new aspect of the show will be “Mr. Worldwide”, where Jasper will take a short amount of time to turn his focus to the music of the rest of the world, a perfect chance for brands of international descent to advertise their products aligned with this segment.
Jasper would also like to place great emphasis on the new “Pep Talk” segment, an aspect of the show that will be dedicated to spreading good vibes through motivational guest appearances, in addition to anecdotes from Jasper’s life that aim to make the listeners day that much more bearable. This is just a handful of the changes being made in order to attempt to further differentiate the content housed within The Breakfast Show, in the hopes of creating a fresh, exciting and enthralling sounding broadcast.
In addition to the countless new areas of content due to be launched on The Breakfast Show, a promotional campaign is to be carried out. Unity Radio’s Breakfast Show with Jasper Hopkins is to relaunch with all new aesthetic branding, a true clean slate for Jasper to build upon creatively while still retaining the advantage of being the most listened to broadcast on 92.8FM.
