RECORD OF THE WEEK:
Lion Babe – Treat Me Like Fire
New York based duo Lion Babe consisting of Julian Harvey on vocals and Lucas Goodman on production duties. The duo quickly cemented their place in everyone’s ones to watch for 2015 and its not hard to see why; silky vocals, flammable lyricism and sharp, jazzy, minimalistic production. They manage to hit a sweet spot somewhere between pop, electronic and R&B.
The first single to be taken from their self titled debut E.P is ‘Treat Me Like Fire’ and it’s this weeks Unity ROTW.
Rumour has it Lion Babe are about to go into the studio with Pharrell, so we suspect that you might be hearing a lot more of these guys on Unity. Keep your ears peeled for sure.
